Gulls is back with an enthralling new EP that beckons listeners into an otherworldly realm. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the cosmos, and the profound mysteries of life, this EP runs like a collection of lost dubs from a soundtrack that never was.

Showcasing a fusion of elements—cinematic soundscapes alive with sweeping sound design, heavy-weight percussion, and harmonized passages of live woodwinds and brass. It’s a direct transmission from the inner sanctum of the Boomarm dojo, pulsating with energy and creativity.

Originally composed in 2021 as part of a collaboration with Dr. Danielle Curry each track has undergone a meticulous transformation. In the early days of fall 2023, each piece was reworked and remixed, infusing them with new life and fresh perspective.

For over two decades, Gulls (AKA Boomarm Nation founder, Jesse Munro Johnson) has passionately dedicated themselves to the world of music as a collaborative artist, sound engineer, label owner, and producer. Consistently pushing forward to expand the boundaries of music and sound art as a means of connection and community building. Today, aside from running Boomarm Nation, Gulls works as a specialized audio engineer, focusing on…  more

SHLOHMO

“This is some ill new new. Brought to your speakers from LA via SF. Shlohmo, a 19 year old beat heat bringer. I first saw his name up on the XLR8R blog a few months back, this week they posted a pretty rad PODCAST that he made. Its got some unreleased exclusive of his own, as well as some tracks from his compatriots in the WEDIDIT collective, which he helps run. These young west coastians are inspiring with their drive and their sounds. And they are helping to push what now seems to be a legendary LA beat scene. Its good to see and hear these young voices!

Grab Shlohmo’s Free EP from Error Broadcast. Its a crunchy mess of hazy dust storm atmospherics, white noise snares , and pumped up thumpy compressed as hell kick drums. Im feeling it! This is some West Coast music. Head music for the heads.

Big knods to Shlomho.”

Shackleton’s on it

A new full length, and an illa remix of a vintage Harmonia track.

Shackleton’s sounds get deeper and much less specific to genre music.

Freedom in deep places. Go get em dude!
